The new
Magdalena Grand Beach Resort (

Tobago Plantations PGA-designed championship golf course when guests of the resort purchase any golf package.
The Tobago Plantations Golf Course is a Par-72, 18-hole course that has been woven into the 750-acre landscape of an old coconut plantation with lakes, woodland thickets, beaches, mangroves and wild grass.
"The course is a great test of the game for golfers of all levels," said
Vince Angelo, general manager of the Magdalena Grand Beach Resort. "The landscape is beautiful yet challenging for even the most intermediate of golfers, making the experience exciting and engaging," Angelo added.
Packages and pricing are as follows:
- One day - $42 for nine holes, $80 for 18 holes
- Two days - $80 for nine holes, $142 for 18 holes
- Four days - $148 for nine holes, $250 for 18 holes
- Seven days - $240 for nine holes, $378 for 18 holes
Rates quoted are per person and include green fees, shared cart and value-added taxes (VAT). One-day bookings are available for purchase on the Magdalena Grand Beach Resort website.
The golf course boasts a vast distance of over 7,000 acres with a driving range, pitching, chipping and bunker as well as large practice putting greens, pro-shop, club rooms, lounge, changing rooms and repair facilities for clubs.
The Tobago Plantations Golf Course is a PGA-designed course, boasting Championship standards and created by
Bob Hunt and
Marcus Blackburn of
PGA Golf Management Ltd., a design, development and management arm of the
Professional Golfers' Association of Great Britain and Ireland. Opened in 2001, the course is a certified member of the
Audubon Co-operative Sanctuary System in addition to receiving a certification for Environmental Planning.
