On April 18,
Omni Hotels & Resorts embarked on its fifth annual
"Here Comes Omni" Day – a one-day event where the entire Omni Hotels & Resorts sales network conducts face-to-face meetings and hosts appreciation events for its valued business customers. From coast to coast, the sales and catering network of 800 associates took the luxury brand's unique meeting offering to the streets and called upon more than 4,000 customers in 40 different cities.
Developed during a unique time in the travel industry when many meeting planners were unsure of the pending travel landscape, “Here Comes Omni” has been a tremendous tool for the brand and its clients. Since inception five years ago, it’s estimated that the one-day event has generated nearly 150,000 incremental room nights comprised of almost 950 meetings and events for Omni.
This year’s focus was on Omni’s growing
Resort Collection and new properties. Meeting planners had the opportunity to learn and receive incentive information on the extensive $85 million “re-imagination” of the
Omni Amelia Island Plantation Resort; the $17 million “re-juvination” of the
Omni Hilton Head Oceanfront Resort; as well as the
Omni Providence Hotel, which was branded an Omni in January of this year; and Omni’s newest gem, the
Omni Nashville Hotel opening in the Fall.
Furthermore, meeting planners and intermediaries who book a meeting between now and June 30, 2013 will earn an entry into the
Omni Musical Getaway — a trip for two to the
Country Music Awards; two round-trip tickets for travel to and from
Nashville; and a suite for a two-night stay at the Omni Nashville Hotel. The property is located across the street from the new
Music City Center which will open in 2013, and will fully integrate with an expansion of the
Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum® on three levels. The hotel will feature 80,000 sq. ft. of state-of-the-art meeting space; with an additional 1.2 million q. ft. in the adjacent
Music City Convention Center.
