Downtown Milwaukee's Baird Center has reshaped the region's event landscape with a $456 million expansion that doubled its original size. Now, one of the largest and most versatile venues in the Midwest, Baird Center is where innovation meets accessibility, further anchoring Milwaukee as a premier destination for a diverse array of conventions, trade shows and sporting events. The expanded Baird Center has introduced a new realm of possibilities. Within its impressive 1.3 million square feet, a host of new features are aimed at enhancing the attendee experience, including: · 300,000 contiguous square feet of exhibition space · 52 state-of-the-art breakout rooms · The breathtaking rooftop Baird Ballroom and Baird Sky View Terrace with skyline views · 400 covered parking spaces · 22 loading docks Additionally, thoughtfully designed sensory rooms, all-gender restrooms and dedicated spaces for nursing mothers ensure a welcoming experience for clients, guests and employees. Sustainability is at the core of Baird Center's transformation, too. Having recently received LEED Gold certification, the venue stands out for its green initiatives, which include a solar roof, stormwater management system, bird-friendly glass and an on-site food digester. Beyond its cutting-edge facilities, Baird Center celebrates the city itself. Home to the We Energies Foundation Art Collection, Baird Center showcases a carefully curated display of 56 original works that reflect the culture, diverse communities and landscapes of Milwaukee and its surrounding region. The walls tell the story of Milwaukee's history, resilience and bright future, offering visitors a captivating artistic experience even if they don't have time to explore the city beyond Baird Center. With contributions from 34 talented artists, 21 of whom have deep ties to Wisconsin, the collection showcases diverse perspectives and artistic styles, further highlighting Milwaukee's world-class cultural offerings. With the fusion of art, functionality and hospitality, Baird Center delivers an experience beyond business, immersing attendees in the essence of Milwaukee's uncommon coast. Step outside Baird Center, and you'll find yourself in the heart of a city teeming with excitement and cultural richness. Popular attractions, James Beard Award-winning restaurants, and a vibrant nightlife are all within walking distance.
