Cincinnati's Convention Center is undergoing an innovative transformation, and government and community leaders held a special construction kick-off event in July.
The new, state-of-the-art Duke Energy Convention Center (DECC) will feature energy-efficient exhibit and meeting spaces, renovated ballrooms, a sunlit pre-function area, outdoor event areas, and a sprawling rooftop terrace. The work is expected to be completed by the fourth quarter of 2025, and business is being booked for 2026 and beyond.

The work signifies the beginning stages of the reinvention of Cincinnati's downtown convention district, which also will include a headquarter hotel and new restaurant and entertainment venues.
