BLACK WRITERS WEEKEND CELEBRATES LITERARY EXCELLENCE AND CULTURAL IMPACT IN THE SOUTHEAST


Black Writers Weekend, proudly powered by AAMBC Inc, returns as the largest annual gathering for literary creatives and filmmakers in the Southeast, scheduled from August 1-4, 2024 at the Riverside EpiCenter in Austell, GA. Founded by Tamika Newhouse, CEO of AAMBC Inc and a trailblazer in black fiction, the event stands as a beacon for breaking stereotypes and amplifying the richness of black literary contributions.

Black Writers Weekend is more than just an event; it is a transformative experience designed to celebrate and uplift black storytelling in all its forms. Through a series of engaging activities, the weekend fosters a vibrant community of writers, filmmakers, and literary enthusiasts who gather to explore, learn, and connect. The weekend begins on Thursday, August 1, 2024, with a vibrant Kick Off Day aimed at sparking creativity and setting the event's energetic tone. Friday, August 2, continues with Creative Day, offering an extensive lineup of workshops and clinics tailored specifically for aspiring authors and filmmakers. Participants will immerse themselves in a variety of subjects, including storytelling techniques, scriptwriting, editing, and publishing strategies, all facilitated by seasoned professionals in their respective fields. Saturday, August 3, celebrates Reader's Day, providing attendees with unique opportunities to interact directly with beloved authors through book signings, meet-and-greets, and intimate discussions about their literary works and inspirations.
