Black Meetings & Tourism will present it annual
Apex Awards for Distinguished Service during the
10th Annual International Multicultural & Heritage Tourism Summit & Trade Show at a gala luncheon on Saturday, July 22 being held at the
Miami Marriott Biscayne Bay Hotel in Miami, FL.
PJ Douglass Sands will serve as mistress of ceremonies, while
Solomon and Gloria Herbert, along with
Andy Ingraham and others, will present the awards.
This year's award recipients are: Chantel Francios, President of
East Point CVB;
Cliff Hamilton, Chairman,
Tourism Trinidad Limited;
Lyndon Gardiner, Founder and Chairman of
InterCaribbean Airways;
Melonie Johnson, President and COO of
MGM National Harbor;
Mike Jackson, Director of Sales,

Reina Herschdorfer, Director of Marketing for National Meetings and Events for
Caesars Entertainment;
Santiago Corrada, President and CEO
of Visit Tampa Bay; and
Sheila Neal, Associate Director of Sales for
Visit Detroit.
The Multicultural & Heritage Tourism Summit, which takes place July 21-23, will follow directly after the 27th Annual International African-American Hotel Ownership & Investment Summit & Trade Show, presented by
NABHOOD (National Association of Black Hotel Owners, Operators & Developers), also unfolding at the Miami Marriott Biscayne Bay July 19-21.
