STAY A DAY PROGRAM

Travel Professionals of Color (TPOC) has been talking about the
Stay a Day Program partnership they have with
Black Meeting and Tourism. Please be on the look out in the next few days concerning all of the details of this program and a roundtable discussion taking place at the TPOC Conference in East Point. With all that is going on oversees, this is a great time for your clients to experience the USA with different eyes.
2015 CONFERENCE SPEAKERS: We are pleased to announce the following individuals will be with us:
Miguel Southwell- On Thursday, May 14th the keynote speaker will be none other than Mr. Southwell, general manager of Atlanta's airport.
Hartsfield-Jackson's is the world's busiest passenger airport, and leading global cargo hub.
Anita Pagliasso- Will be the keynote luncheon speaker on Friday, May 15th. Ms. Anita Pagliasso, is president and founder of
Ticket to Travel. She is an author of various travel publications as well as one of the esteemed group of travel educators of the Travel Institute.
CONFERENCE REMINDER:Our conference is just a few months away; you still have time to register. Also remember you must register for your hotel accommodations on or before April 30th, before the rate goes up.

:The pre conference tour will convene on Wednesday, May 13th, 2015. This exciting cultural and heritage tour is sponsored by the

CROWNE PLAZA HOTEL:Another nugget added to this wonderful event, a cocktail party sponsored by the
Crowne Plaza Hotel will convene immediately after the cultural and heritage tour.
DESERT RECEPTION: The
Douglasville Convention & Visitors Bureau will be sponsoring a Desert Reception and night at the movies at their conference center on Friday, May 15, 2015 from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. Everyone attending the conference is invited to attend. Transportation to and from will be provided.
THE 4TH FRIENDS AND FAMILY HERITAGE TOUR:As a reminder, this will be an exciting time for you to invite family and friends to join you in Atlanta, May 14 - 17, 2015. TPOC'S POST FAM:First we would like to thank
Miriam Padilla and her committee for arranging this years post fam. You will have the opportunity to visit Montgomery and/or Birmingham, Alabama. Both will be a 2 night, 3 day fam. You will leave Atlanta on Sunday afternoon and arrive back into Atlanta before noon on Tuesday, May 19th. Therefore you should schedule your return flights late afternoon or evening on Tuesday. The cost for the fam, which includes transportation, hotel accommodations, meals and various attractions is $239.00 per person.
TPOC MIRACLE GLOBE:The TPOC Miracle Globe was started many years ago, as a way for us to give back to the community were the conferences are held. This year is no different; therefore we are asking each of you to bring a gift of love to help fund this project so we can continue to be a blessing to others. No amount is too small. |
