Go Wichita Convention & Visitors Bureau formally launched its newly redesigned website during an open house reception at the Bureau's
Visitor Information Center. The website's address remains
gowichita.com.
The new website marks the completion of the project to upgrade this important marketing tool. Just like the many hidden treasures and surprising attractions in our city, visitors can expect the unexpected as they navigate through the new site. Pop-ups and widgets connect visitors to everything Wichita has to offer. Member listings have been integrated with Google Maps technology to give visitors and meeting planners quick access to the information they need. Additionally, some of Wichita's best-kept secrets are sprinkled throughout the new site. The new gowichita.com has the flexibility that allows Go Wichita to highlight major community events such as the Autumn & Art Festival, Wichita Wagonmasters Chili Cookoff, the Wichita Flight Festival, and Tallgrass Film Festival just to name a few.
"We are excited about the new website, its capabilities and the future opportunities it affords us," said
John Rolfe, Go Wichita president and CEO. "We hope residents and visitors will also be excited and find the new website to be a great value for planning a trip to Wichita." The website was designed by
Simpleview Inc., an integrated marketing company that specializes in building websites for convention and visitors bureaus across the country.
